CITY OF AHMEDABAD:

Ahmedabad is well known for its textile mills and is often referred as the 'Manchester of the East'. The Hindu kingdom of Karnavati was defeated by the Muslim Sultanate in 1411 A.D. The Sultan believed that the land is sanctified as he laid the foundation of Ahmedabad.
